A Day in the Life of a Sales Development RepPosted on 02 Feb
There is a big difference between a sales development rep (SDR) who makes it through the day, and one who smashes quotas, brings fresh ideas to the table and is on the forefront of new technology – all while making it home for dinner every night.
The best SDRs have daily, weekly, quarterly and weekly goals, and they stick to them. They are extremely organized, using their calendar and to-do list like a pro. And they are always focused, pushing away distractions and aiming for the bullseye. They’re superheros, but without the cape.
We’ve put together an infographic that explores the daily life of an extremely effective SDR. From a hot coffee and quick scan of her email in the morning, to keeping her finger on the pulse of what’s happening on professional networks like LinkedIn, her daily tasks get done in a timely, efficient manner.
But for every 1.5 hour lead nurturing blitz, she also needs a break – after all, superheros have to charge their powers sometimes! While the best SDRs are extremely productive during they day, they also know when the get up, have a quick stretch or walk around the block, and return to their desk fresh and ready to go for round two (or three, or four…).
